Rowing Camp - October School Holidays

Our start of rowing season camp will be held at Epworth in Cambridge from 6 - 9 October (exact departure times will be confirmed nearer to the camp, but shouldn’t be any earlier than 9am!).

The camp is open to all crew members (Development and Competition Squads).

Families are very welcome to attend and as with any camp/regatta we very much appreciate your support to help with transport and the camp duties (meal prep etc) - depending on how many rowers attend we may only be able to secure limited dormitory style accomodation, however this is a beautiful spot for camping, with great facilities (powered site, bathrooms short distance away etc). There are also lots of Air BnBs in the area.

Registrations for camp have now closed, however, if you have any changes that you need to make, please get in touch with our Camps/Transport teams.

Come along to Lake Pupuke and support our first year crew members as they compete for what may be their first time against a number of neighbouring Auckland schools and clubs.

The regatta will be held at the North Shore Rowing Club at Lake Pupuke (off Mary Poynton Crescent) and is scheduled to run from 10.00 - 14.30 with a small prize giving ceremony at the end.

All are welcome, and as usual our fabulous sausage sizzle will be going!

The regatta is run via a simple format:
- All races will be over approx. 400 meters and raced in recreational boats that are very wide, easy to row and virtually un-tippable.
- Each race will have three to four boats.
- Each placing will progress to a final therefore giving each crew member a minimum of two races.

All competing crew members, please ensure that you wear your full uniform for this regatta - rowsuit and yellow cap and bring along your hoodie and some dark blue or black shorts or tracksuit bottoms for when not on water.
All long hair must be tied up for racing and remember to bring your sunscreen, water bottles and some snacks.

We would like to invite all club members and crew members down to cheer on our crews and enjoy the regatta.

There will be a BBQ for those that fancy a bit of a sausage sizzle and the atmosphere at this event is always great fun.

Can all non competing crew members please make all efforts to attend wearing your hoodies and yellow caps to support our novice crew members in their first Auckland regatta and also to help out if needed.

Looking forward to seeing you there!

Ngongotaha Winter Regatta

We have been invited to a friendly winter regatta at Ngongotaha on Lake Rotorua (and will be accommodated at Keswick Christian Camp). This is a great first regatta to get some race practice in before the season commences.

We will be departing for Rotorua at 7am on Saturday morning (please meet at the club at 6.30am to load luggage etc). Crew Members travelling with parents and not departing from club are requested to arrive at Ngongotaha no later than 11am.

Weather depending, the regatta is scheduled to finish at midday on Sunday…the crews will then need to complete de-rigging the boats and the regatta site and will load everything back onto the trailer (this normally takes 1-2hrs).

Ngongotaha Regatta: Ngongotaha Reserve, Reeme Rd, Ngongotaha, Rotorua.

Keswick Christian Camp: 5 Cooper Ave, Holdens Bay, Rotorua.

NOTE: Registrations for this regatta are now closed. Please let the Coaches, Camps and Transport know if there are any changes to your circumstances (if you have any last minute issues on Saturday morning please contact our Transport Manager, Emma, by phone or text (see email for details)).
